One
of the talking points of this season has been A.R.Rahman's concert in
Chennai on the 29th of December. The concert titled "Thai Manne
Vanakkam" is being organized at the Nehru Indoor Stadium and will be
telecasted by a major television channel. As a part of the program, the
organizers are planning to conduct a talent hunt and pick out five
winners to perform during the show with ARR himself.
"We have conducted auditions in Trichy, Coimbatore
and Madurai. We have short listed 40 contestants so far. Ten singers
will be given a chance to rock the stage with the maestro. The
contestants are below 15 years of age. It will be a golden opportunity
for the kids to perform with the legendary musician" said Boophthy, who
will be hosting the live event.
This might be a great chance for young and talented
singers to showcase their skills and get picked by ARR for his concert.
With any luck, they could just become the next Karthik or Naresh Iyer.
